Agriculture is the largest contributor of any resource sector, to the economy of Prince Edward Island. It is also a large generator of waste materials. If wastes are not properly handled they can pollute surface and groundwater and contribute to air pollution. Agricultural wastes can be Livestock, Poultry, Farm waste etc., Agricultural Waste management can decrease the pollution produced from agricultural waste. Soil properties are important considerations in areas where soils are used as sites for the treatment and disposal of organic waste and wastewater. Selection of soils with properties that favour waste administration can help to prevent environmental damage.
